The Green Party is celebrating a record election performance in England & Wales, which saw them hold more than 500 councillors for the first time in their history.
The party now boasts a presence on more than 150 councils across the two nations.
Results in Wales were greeted with jubilation as Greens took eight seats – having held none before Thursday night.
Numerous Trade Union Group members were elected across the country, many having taken the Group’s pledge to support workers and their unions in their local authority work.
The Green Party Trade Union Group will meet on Monday 16th May at 6pm to celebrate the results and start the conversation about how Green councillors can use their office to support workers’ rights. All Green Party members are welcome to join in – click here to register.
