For years, interest in a Universal Basic Income has been growing in our parties and our unions. And the Covid-19 pandemic supercharged this movement.
But we need to build support for a UBI in our workplaces and our communities if we want to have a chance of introducing it.
Here’s what you can do:
- Bring a motion to your union branch, conference or congress supporting a UBI
- Invite someone to speak to your union branch and your colleagues
- Speak to your colleagues about why a UBI should be central to our vision for a democratic future, where everyone is safe, secure and free
